Thanks for the installer.

It worked perfectly with the DVD version I have for Myst III using OS X 10.10. However, I also have the CD version of Myst III and the installer hangs right after it asks for CD2. The installer properly ejects CD1 and asks for CD2. However, it hangs after CD2 is inserted and doesn't appear to continue the installation. Also, I have an older MacBook Pro running 10.6.8.

Is it possible to configure the installer to run on Snow Lepoard or higher. Thanks again for allowing us to play this game on newer hardware.

I'm pretty new to all this I hadn't even played Myst in 20yrs, and now I'm figuring out how to get the 10th anniversary trilogy to work on Mac 10.8.2. I got Myst and Riven to run with ScummVM (wonderfully, by the way!), but I can't get it to work for Exile. I know you said the installer is for 10.9 and later, but I'm wondering if you either know of a way to make it work, or know another option I could try? I just downloaded ResidualVM, as I couldn't find a list of the required Exile files in ScummVM.

I did find the list in ResidualVM, but now I can't find the all ACTUAL files on my Exile disk:P This is what I got from ResidualVM: ├── bin │ └── M3.exe ├── Data │ └──.m3a └── M3Data └── Various files and folders (including the DVD version's menu language file) Only, in the bin folder on the Exile disk, there is NO 'M3.exe' file. Anyway, I'm sure its probably just me having to idea what to do here.

But I saw this universal installer post and thought it might be the answer to making this easier. I tried to use the installer today. I've got the Myst III Exile DVD from the 10th anniversary pack, and am on an iMac running OS X 10.9.5. The installer seems to work - no error message, it asks the language, folder, etc.

It starts installing the files. And then with the progress bar just an itsy bit full, it freezes and hangs.

I had to Force Quite it, since pressing the X to cancel the install did nothing. I cleared all files, re-downloaded, tried again - same results. Plenty of space on my hard drive, and no other programs running/eating up memory. See screenshot for where it stalls out (maybe that's the same place it'd switch from CD1 to CD2 like others had mentioned?).
