Ati Mobility Radeon Hd 4650 Driver For Mac
Hopefully someone can help. I had windows 8.0 installed with no issues and had video card driver installed for my ATI card on my laptop ver 13.1 I installed the windows 8.1 upgrade and now the upgrade is using a Microsoft stock driver called Ati Mobility Radeon HD 4650 ( Microsoft Corporation - WDDM v1.1 ) instead of the AMD Driver 13.1 I run a game called second life and the stock driver doesn't play nice with the program. This is the error error Firestorm is unable to run because your video card drivers did not install properly, are out of date or are for unsupported hardware.

Please make sure you have the latest video card drivers and even if you do have the latest try reinstalling them. Hi Cuda70, I have a very similar issue with the same graphics card and the same driver (WDDM v1.1). After different tries I have solved it partially doing this: Go to the devices manager and try to actualize Mobility Radeon HD 4650 ( Microsoft Corporation - WDDM v1.1 ) driver. Select the option 'look for the driver in your pc', and after that, instead typing where the software is, select the 'choose from a list of controllers'. Once there, when seing the compatible software, you will have three options: basic screen adapter by Microsoft, ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4650, and Mobility Radeon HD 4650 ( Microsoft Corporation - WDDM v1.1). If you select the second one, ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4650, you will get a driver from ATI instead of one from Microsoft.
And the one from ATI works much better, I can use now some programs I couldn't use with the WDDM v1.1. As my OS is in Spanish, the name of the different options will not be exactly the one I have told you as I have translated them from Spanish.
